The Avalon Miner is one of the very few competitors to Bitmain’s Antminer family, and thus among the few at the top of the list of best Bitcoin miners. Using approximately 1150 watts, the AvalonMiner 741 hashes around 7.3 TH/s. Numbers like that are nothing to slouch at, but unless you can buy the Avalon […]
The Antminer T9+ is similar to the S9, but it’s quieter, and doesn’t hash quite as fast. Still a worthy competitor, and often cheaper than the S9, which makes it less expensive per terahash – just keep in mind that it uses more power, so over time you may actually not be ahead.
The Antminer S9 is the latest in a long line of SHA256 Bitcoin Mining rigs from Bitmain. This one is from a later batch and has a hashrate of 13.5TH per second, and uses about 1300 watts total.
Gigabyte, in order to stay competitive with Asus, was also quick to jump on the B250 bandwagon and create a cryptocurrency specific mining motherboard. Gigabyte’s offering has 12 total PCIe slots – 11 of them are PCIe 1x slots, and one of them is a PCIe 16x slot. Gigabyte says the 12 PCIe slots are […]
Asus doesn’t like to be outdone! They’ve over delivered with this massive mining motherboard – it has 19 PCIe slots! This B250 motherboard handles up to 30 GB of DDR4 RAM, and uses an LGA1151 CPU socket. Asus thought ahead, and didn’t just simply provide a ton of PCIe slots to make the mining community […]
The ASRock Pro BTC+ gpu mining motherboard is a very popular choice among mining rig builds – it’s fairly inexpensive, has great reviews overall, and it supports an amazin 13 GPUs! The board supports the 6th and 7th generation Intel processors, and uses DDR4 RAM. For the 13 PCIe slots, only 1 of them is […]
Of course – but we should clarify what you mean by profitable! People that bought GPUs 2 or 3 months ago, at MSRP (rather than double MSRP that most of the best mining GPUs seem to be selling for right now), have already mined enough to pay off the money the spent on their GPU […]
Dash miners are fairly new – they cropped up in late 2017, and rocketed into fame as they were supposed to mine $100-$200 USD PER DAY when they were first released. However, much to the disappointment of everyone who got in early and pre-ordered from Bitmain, they kept selling and selling, so by the time […]
