Dash miners are fairly new – they cropped up in late 2017, and rocketed into fame as they were supposed to mine $100-$200 USD PER DAY when they were first released.

However, much to the disappointment of everyone who got in early and pre-ordered from Bitmain, they kept selling and selling, so by the time shipments happened, the profitability was down below $20 per day.

Since then, the price of Dash has gone up a lot, and a new generation of X11 ASIC miners has come out that consumes much less power.
